Chabad Malvern Kiddush Hall

After almost 30 years of joyous celebrations, Chabad Malvern's Kiddush Hall was well overdue for renewal. Our design approach for this project started with acoustic - it was critical to resolve the significant reflection and reverberation issues through the space which caused loud cacophony during gatherings, poor speech intelligibility and general discomfort for users. Doing "a lot with a little", we ran the calculations and treated the existing plasterboard ceiling, coordinated around existing services and provided a new lighting design. New joinery brings thoughtful elegance to important ritual handwashing, while wall paneling ties this space in with the rest of the Shule and protects the walls for decades of celebrations and community events to come!
