"Speaking Architecture" was first commissioned by Monash Art, Design & Architecture for Semester 2, 2024, as part of the Masters program's Studies Unit/Elective. This course offers students the chance to discover their unique voice while honing essential architectural communication skills.
Each lesson delves into a variety of presentation and public speaking styles, including competitive debating, speeches, lectures, design jury defenses, radio/podcast announcing, plain language discussions, stakeholder engagement, and deep listening.
Students developed a versatile communication skillset to enhance their careers and academic pursuits, gaining confidence in adapting their language to effectively engage with different audiences.
Studio Razbash is immensely proud of this inaugural cohort of "Speaking Architecture" students, who displayed remarkable courage and pushed beyond their comfort zones.
